Juan David Pena is a bass player, producer and composer based in Los Angeles, California. He grew up in Bogotá, Colombia and became passionate about music at an early age. After studying at a music academy and learning from different musicians within Bogota’s music scene, Juan decided to expand his knowledge in music even further. He moved to Boston where he studied Bass Performance, Contemporary Writing and Production at the prestigious Berklee College of Music where he graduated with honors in May of 2019. During his time at Berklee he received the Outstanding Performer Award for his achievements and skills as a bass player.
Juan has worked with different artists including Producer, Composer and Musical Director Rob Lewis. Lewis’ career includes works with Christina Aguilera, Babyface, Brian McKnight, Diddy and many more successful artists. Juan is very passionate about live music and he often performs with his band Lithic. The Rock band is influenced by funk and psychedelic music. They perform in numerous venues around the Los Angeles County. Additionally Juan is a Composer and Producer and he really enjoys writing music for advertising and commercial use.
Juan is very passionate about music and he is always seeking to learn something new. He finds motivation in helping others and he is willing to go the extra mile in order to bring out the best in himself and the work he is immersed in.
